A.J. Gaither OMB is coming to Colorado and The Mod Cabin could not be happier about it.
We recently had to opportunity to speak with A.J. about his unique style of American roots music and his one man band. You can see him perform his one man show live April 11th at the Lion’s Lair in Denver, April 12th at the No Name Bar in Boulder, April 16th at Sabrosa in Grand Junction and last but not least, AJ will be performing at Surfside 7 in Fort Collins on April 18th.
AJ Gaither used to work a day job and had the opportunity to put all that behind him and join a band. The band didn’t work out, but once A.J. had a taste of life free of working for the man there was no going back. AJ decided to take what instruments he had, make some more, hop in his van and start playing live throughout the country.
Some of A.J’s instruments include a homemade banjo, snare drums and a four string steel guitar. When A.J Gaither says he is a one man band he means it. He makes his own instruments, plays all the music, books his own shows and sets his stage up himself. Like many creative-independent types, A.J. sports a wicked beard. He does this as a lifestyle choice. Just like the folks at The Mod Cabin, A.J. doesn’t like to answer to other people and likes to act and dress how he pleases, regardless of what other people think.
If you haven’t experienced his one man band, don’t miss the chance. Its something everyone should witness at least once.
